Operational Kitchen Products

Web app Design & Large Screen

Wonder is transforming New York's culinary landscape with its distinct, high-end meal delivery model. As a designer on the Kitchen Product team, I supported the initial build and optimization of Wonder's in-house kitchen products by centralizing order management to ensure consistency and efficiency in meal preparation and delivery. I've worked on several products and systems throughout my time with the company, and will provide a summary of my work in the case study below.

Work Flow

We define the process as a global vision for each feature we are going to work on, however in some versions we work based on the design guidelines created at the beginning and taking into account the strategic definitions of the project leaders.

Understanding

In the beginning the definitions came directly from Wonder's strategic team from where we started building the MVPs for each tool focused on the proposed metrics. Months later, together with Wonder's operational team, we managed to understand step by step the flow of experiences that the different types of users lived in each of the business scenarios, their needs, technological equipment and the challenges that we had around the models that we had been building several months ago. On the end we create some wireframes to make definition on the direction and to have an overall view on the view approach.

Market Research

In the market we already had some competitors that had similar features, for which I decided to search for different types of screen releases from their functionalities and additionally look for best practices for each of the components and behaviors that we wanted to include in each section.

However, wonder has a very particular and innovative business strategy, so as a team we have made different proposals and iterated with the help of the users.

UI Kit building

When it comes to creating a high fidelity design, having a UI kit can be a game changer. A UI kit is essentially a collection of pre-designed elements that can be used create a consistent and cohesive look and feel across your entire design. By using a UI kit, you can save time and ensure that your design is both visually appealing and user-friendly. So, if you're looking to take your high fidelity design to the next level, consider building a UI kit.
